BROWN, Trevor J

"Seeing the modern world with his head tilted slightly to one side Trevor Browns vision is one in which reality and the imaginary are woven into a single dreamscape. His eyes have never really left rural Tyrone and the family farm on which he developed his love for nature and animals. His portrait painting and his depictions of rural life are steeped in folklore.
The paintings are influenced by personal and collective memory, the eccentricities of spinster aunts and bachelor farmers, the farm animals imbued with human characteristics, the clash between church and rural practices often having their foundations rooted in a pagan past".

Trevor Brown was born in Coagh Co. Tyrone on the 8th of December 1973.
He has exhibited extensively since 1990.
Trevor's paintings are in both private and public collections worldwide.
He works from his studio in Bangor Co. Down
